Gabrielle Ward

Gabrielle Ward is a Melbourne-based, Sydney-born artist. After completing Music Theatre Foundation at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) in 2018, she commenced studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music Theatre), graduating in 2021. In her graduating year Gabrielle performed in a self-devised piece Mongrel, was dance captain/ensemble in The Hello Girls (dir. Jason Langley & Leah Howard) and played Nickie in Sweet Charity (dir. Jayde Kirchert).

Gabrielle’s professional music theatre debut was as Jane Banks in Mary Poppins (Cameron Mackintosh). Prior to VCA, Gabrielle graduated from Newtown Performing Arts specialising in acting and has trained in all styles of dance at The Glenda Yee School of Dance since 2002.

Her theatre credits include directing the new Australian musical Murder is an Art at the Butterfly Club, Brigid in Antipode Theatre’s workshop of The Humans, performer and assistant director in Citizen Theatre’s Ego Machine, the role of Will in the Australian premiere of Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical by Salty Theatre, director/choreographer of The Human Centipede Parody Musical by Synergy Co. at The Alex Theatre, the role of Adult Maria/Sister Jerome in Castro’s Children by Music Theatre Melbourne, director of (T)issue at La Mama and also swing for the national tour of PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue and the world premiere of Gabby’s Dollhouse Live!, both for TEG Life Like Touring.

Her TV credits include a featured segment on Disney Channel’s A Guide To, Kasey Chambers music video The Rain and various TV commercials.

Gabrielle performed in Mamma Mia! The Musical (AG Theatre), and recently toured with PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue (TEG Life Like Touring).
